New Help & Support Menu

A new Help & Support menu replaces the Feedback icon and consolidates the Provide Feedback, Help, and Contact Us options. A new option, What is Formulus?, links to the product page on cas.org.

The Help option has moved from the Account menu.

Throughout Formulus, "Substances" is now "Ingredients" to further align with our users.

Search Ingredients by Formulation Function

Users may now enter a formulation function in the Ingredients search box to identify ingredients that are commonly used for that function (e.g., binder) in formulations.

Ingredient results are ordered by the frequency of the function in formulations.
Exact match synonyms can also be searched.
If a user enters a query that contains both ingredient and function terms (e.g., methylcellulose binder), the ingredient matches will be displayed first, followed by the function matches.

View Formulations link added to Commonly Used As section in Ingredient Detail: Find formulations where a given ingredient is present in formulations playing a specific role or function.
Document Type filter enhanced with locations: Focus on formulations indexed from specific parts of a document.
Predicted functions added to formulation components: A new value-add by CAS scientists to help "fill in the blanks" for the function or role a given formulation ingredient is playing, even if the source literature did not disclose this information.

Advanced Search includes autosuggest.
